An oil flow management valve for solving oil leakage at low rotating speed

  • Targeting the oil leakage of bearing chamber of aero-engine at low rotating speed, the reasons of the oil leakage of bearing chamber of aero-engine at low rotating speed were analyzed. A efficient method solving the problem was proposed, including the design of oil flow management valve applied to the oil supply pipeline of rear bearing chamber. The opening pressure and flow resistance characteristics tests of oil flow management valve were carried out, and the result shows that the opening pressure and flow resistance characteristics of the oil flow management valve can satisfy the requirements of supplying a little oil to the bearing chamber for lubricating bearing, and also preventing oil leakage with oil overabundance of bearing chamber of aero-engine at low rotating speed. The research can be a reference for solving the problem of oil leakage for the bearing chamber of aero-engine at low rotating speed.
