Modeling and simulation of compressor system with actuators

  • For the requirement of compressor model for active stability control purpose, the multi-dimensional space state compressor model was built by discreting the Moore-Greitzer model in space and representing the flow disturbance using discrete points around compressor circumference. Then the multi-dimensional compressor model with air injector was established considering the time lag of actuators and the momentum and mass effects caused from adding of air injector. Simulation on compressor stall and the suppression effect of air injection indicates that the rotating stall behavior is captured by the model established herein, the stable compressor operating range is expanded and stall is suppressed by air injection. The compressor model with air injectors is available for the analysis and design of active stability control system.
