Experiment study on predicting burst speed of disk by modified average stress method

  • Based on the modified average stress method,the effects of the profile dimension parameters of TC17 titanium alloy compressor disk on the radial and circumferential burst speed were analyzed,and the transformation of burst mode was predicted.Furthermore,the test disks for radial burst mode were designed,and burst tests of TC17 titanium alloy compressor disk were carried out.The test results of disk burst are in good agreement with the calculated results of the modified average stress method.The error between the calculated burst speed reserve and the test results decreases from 7.24% before correction to 0.72% after correction,which can provide a basis for engineering application.
