HEAT TRANSFER THROUGH MULTI-TURNS OF COOLING PASSAGES IN A TURBINE BLADE

  • With the aim of cooling high-temperature turbine blade, the heat transfer characteristics and flow drag of turbulent air flow through 180 degree multiturnsof rectangular passages were investigated experimentally. The experimental data of the heat transfer coefficients both through a 180 degree turn and in a straight passage were correlated. The test results may be useful to cooling designinggas turbine blades.
