Abstract

An experimental epuipment for measuring the residence time distribution functions of fuel in combustor has been made, based on the absorption of radiation from a line source at 253.7nm generated by mercury vapour. The residence time distribution functions of fuel both in a main conbustor and a model afterburner under cool conditions have been measured by means of this equipment and have been analyzed.
