AN ENERGY METHOD FOR CALCULATING THE LOCAL STRESS AT AN ECCENTRIC HOLE IN A TURBINE DISK

  • A new method based on energy principle is derived to calculate local stress at an eccentric hole in a turbine disk under the elasto-plastic conditions. This method is not only simpleand practical, but also able to obtain more accurate results than those calculated by the modified Neu-ber method. A numerical example is also presented in this paper.
