AN IMPORTANT ROLE OF CONDENSED-PHASE INTERFACE REACTION HEAT IN COMBUSTION PROCESS OF COMPOSITE PROPELLANTS

  • The condensed-phase interface reaction heat of AP/HTPB composite solidpropellant and the influence of some burning rate catalysts on the interface reaction heat are studied with the aid of diferential scanning calorimetry. The experiments demonstrate that the catalysts which increase the condensed-phse interface: reaction heat raise the burning rate of the propellant.
