Abstract

Abstract

The three-dimensional boundary layer equations with rotation terms are formulated in general tensor form.The effects of rotation including p/y≠0 and its consequence have been investigated.The results show that in some cases it is essential to take p/y≠0 into account to obtain accurate boundary layer parameters.A new method to solve this equation system is proposed.The method has been verified through several examples,showing its effectiveness and applicability.
