A DESIGN OF A ROTATING PROBE FOUR-AXIS TRAVERSE MECHANISM

  • A mechanism fully controlled by computer and stepping motor can move a probe in four axes (Null,Radial,Tangential and Axial) for completing flow measurement inside the rotor passage of the turbomachine during rotation.The mechanism can also move the probe for flow measurement inside the stator passage as a fixed one.The technical characteristics,principle of operation,construction design and running balance of the mechanism are discussed in detail.
