Abstract An approach for accurate measurement of density distribution in the inflow field between supersonic blades is provided by means of holographic interferometry and digital image processing system.It is a non contact measuring method without interference from the measuring instrument.This approach has advantages of high accuracy of measurement,good feasibility in acquiring and processing data,as well as possibility to collect the information of the whole flow field at the same time.Finally,the density distribution in the flow field of supersonic blades is obtained by using this approach.
