According to the detail analysis of the experimental results for the stator of an axial flow stage,the main factors of the stator losses have been found.The end treatment technique-hub swept technique,which can enhance the efficiency in stator hub under high blade loading,has been used in the modification.The redesigning scheme for the stator and its end treatment are presented,and the detailed through flow calculation and blade profiling have been carried out.Optimization of stator parameters has been made in the modification.The results of the modification show that the end treatment technique and blade profiling help improve the efficiency in end wall region.
