DEFORMATION AND STRESS ANALYSIS OF RUBBER O-RING

  • A model of multilateral frictional contact problem of two objects with far different stiffness was established.In addition,a stress relax model of rubber-like material was developed according to the poly-dimension stress creep theory.On the basis of the above models,the deformation and contact stress of the rubber O-ring was calculated by using a finite element method approaching large strain in ref..Some useful conclusions can serve as trustworthy principles for rubber O-ring design.
