A MULTISTAGE FINITE ELEMENT METHOD FOR TRANSONIC FLOW CALCULATION IN TURBOMACHINERY

  • In the light of the idea of Multistage Finite Element Method,The anisotropic tensor force finite element and the Taylor-Galerkin finite element method have been combined properly into a new method which called anisotropic multistage finite element method.This method is superior in convergence speed and stability and suitable to transonic flow calculations.We applied this method to analyzing the transonic flow in a two dimensional cascade and compared with its experimental data.It is shown that this method is a powerful tool for the transonic flow calculation.
