Abstract

Abstract

Fluctuating velocity,turbulence intensity and the fluctuating frequency of turbulent airflow within a counterrorating airflow field were investigated experimentally with hot-wire anemometers.It is showed that turbulence intensity and fluctuating velocity are very large in the boundary layer region,where counterrotating airflow mixes violently;after mixing,the turbulence intensity of swirling airflow decreases and distributes uniformly in radial direction;various eddy scales exist in airflow field,the fluctuating frequency band is very wide without main frequency.
