A STRUCTURE LIFE EVALUATION MODEL AND ITS APPLICATION TO DYNAMIC COMPONENTS OF AIRCRAFT POWERPLANT

  • The life of a structure is evaluated with its safe-life design,and its safety is ensured with the damage tolerant design,so the safe-life design and the damage tolerant design are combined and a structure life evaluation model is developed. The formulas to determine the service life and the inspection periods of a structure with the high reliability are presented.Then the model is applied to evaluating the inspection periods for aircraft powerplant dynamic components, and an example is given.
