NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF HOT FLOW IN LIQUID ROCKET ENGINE COMBUSTOR WITH AND WITHOUT BAFFLE

  • The hot flow fields in liquid rocket engine combustion chamber with and without baffles are simulated numerically.The gas governing equations are described by Navier-Stokes equations in the Euler coordinates.The liquid governing equations are represented in the Lagrangian coordinates.The droplet moving tracks in the hot solutions of the two cases are investigated.The flowfield parameters of the combustion chamber are compared between the two hot solutions.It is proved that the numerical treatment of the baffle is valid.
