VALIDATION TESTS WITH A SCALE-MODEL FOR SURFACE SOUND PRESSURE PREDICTION OF PROPELLER AIRCRAFT

  • An experimental research with a propeller aircraft scale model has been completed to obtain reasonably comprehensive data for validating its improved sound field model.Instead of the tests in anechoic windtunnel as abroad,the scale-model tests was accomplished in outdoor conditions.In the predicton of propeller noise in free field with the improved sound field model,the load data on the propeller blade surface were obtained from calculation of inverse problem.The measured results of sound pressure on the scale-model have been compared with that predicted by the improved sound field model in a reasonable agreement.
