The optimal control for turbofan engine acceleration control has been investigated.The optimal method used in this paper is Sequential Quadratic Programming(SQP),one of the most successful methods for solving nonlinear constrained problem.Many limits in the process of engine acceleration have been studied such as compressor surge margin,overtemperature limit,overspeed limit,rich extinction in combustor,the maximum fuel flow and limit of the actuator property.The results of simulation show that SQP method is suitable and feasible in solving the problem of aero-engine acceleration control;the engine potentialities are brought into full play and the engine acceleration performance is improved greatly.
