A SFEM FOR ANALYZING RELIABILITY OF VIBRATING STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS

  • Material characteristics,geometrical properties of structural components and loads are variables.As a result,the fatigue strength is analyzed by means of random variables.A stochastic FEM for analyzing the reliability of vibrating structural components is proposed.The theoretical basis for increasing the fatigue strength is provided.A cantilever beam has been taken as a numerical example.The correctness of this method is verified by an experiment.
