Experimental Investigation on Effect of Stator Vane Angle Adjustment on Compressor Performance

  • In order to improve the performance of a three-stage axial compressor,an experiment method and procedure are presented for improving its inter-stage matching by adjusting the stator vane angles of stages.The results show that the stator vane angle variation has a remarkable effect on the compressor performance.A set of optimum matching vane angles at design speed was found by the tests. The highest adiabatic efficiency is increased by 7.4% and the stability operation margin also has a notable increase.
