Experimental Investigation on AVEN Wall Static Pressure Distributions

  • An experimental investigation has been conducted with a scale model to determine the wall static pressure distributions of an axisymmetric vectoring thrust nozzle (AVEN) with different nozzle pressure ratios (NPR).The results indicate that the internal flow characteristics is complex 3 Dimensional in convergent and divergent sections at flow vectoring,and the shock waves as well as flow separations appear non symmetrical and vary with the geometric vector angle while the NPR was less than design pressure ratio.
