  • The mechanism of acoustically excited jet flow has been investigated experimentally. The variation rule of jet parameters was derived from various operating conditions of jets excited by different acoustical wave parameters. The flow-visualization images were obtained. The result indicated that the length of jet core section was decreased, the width of mixing section was increased, and the ambient air was entrained strongly by the jet due to the pulsed jet with acoustic waves. These effects are beneficial to the augmentation of ejector thrust and to decreasing of temperature on the nozzle wall, also to the distribution of infrared radiation intensity.
