Experimental Investigation of Thermal Energy Storage Container of Phase Change Materials for Space Station

  • Container of Phase Change Material (PCM) is a key part of heat receiver in space solar dynamic power system.The receiving/releasing heat performance of heat reeeiver and its duration depend on reliability of PCM container design and fabrication.The structural design and fabrication technology of container and the filling of PCM were researched.The melting/Solidifying expeiments were completed.The phase change temperature and the latent heat of LiF-CaF 2 were measured.Several high-temperature alloys have been tested for compatibility with molten salt LiF-CaF 2 at 843℃.
