Effects of Reynolds Number on Compressor Performance and Engine Stability

A mathematic model of Reynolds number correcting the performance of turbofan engine compressor was established with Wassell method.Based on the model in which the correction of Reynolds number to the turbo performance was taken into consideration,the effects of Reynolds number on the performance of compressors,on the co work point of engine,and on the surge margin were computed and analyzed.This correction model was proved to be valuable to evaluate the effects of Reynolds number quantificationally when assessing the engine stability.
