Numerical Simulation of Airfoil-Tip Vortex Interaction

  • The far field noise generated by NACA0012 airfoil/tip vortex interaction is predicted using the combined Euler/Kirchhoff method. Kirchhoff surface is selected as one of the grid surfaces.Firstly,the result of nearfield can be obtained by solving Euler equations.Then the result of farfield can be calculated by Kirchhoff method.Finally, the combined Euler/Kirchhoff method developed here is proved a good try for studying Blade Vortex Interaction (BVI) noise through sample calculations.
