  • According to the property of fuzzy number which is suited for quantifing fuzzy information,an approach to multi-stage fuzzy synthetical assessment based on fuzzy number is proposed by use of fuzzy sets and interval analysis, which can make a fuzzy decision well in terms of fuzzy information.A model of reliability prediction for an aeroengine is developed by applying the approach and considering the reliability properties of an aeroengine.By means of the model,the reliability level of an aeroengine can be assessed more objectively because a variety of the factors influencing aeroengine reliability can be synthetically considered in the model.Therefore the model is particularly adaptable to the reliability prediction in initial design stage for an aeroengine.
