  • Briefly introduces some fundamental experiences of design and development of the "Kunlun" two-spool afterburning turbojet engine, which was successfully self-designed and developed in China. The design, development and test were strictly followed out the "General Specification of Turbojet and Turbofan Aero-Engines".The adequate proportion between creativeness and inheritance was controlled to reduce risk without sacrificing the engine’s advanced status. The design regarded the operability, reliability, durability and maintainability as important as performance.Large exhaust temperature margin and surge margin were ensured.Strict and sufficient ground and flight tests were the base of the engine reliability.
