Investigation of Methods Improving Turbofan Engine Multi-Mission Adaptability

  • To improve the multi-mission adaptability of the reheat turbofan engine,two methods were brought forward. Performance of turbofan engines can be improve by taking advantage of the heat sink capability of reheat fuel.Effect on engine performance of precooling was calculated to analyze the feasibility of the two methods on the assumption that the precooling effectiveness can achieve the anticipated value.The results validate the feasibility of the two methods.They are also very useful in improving the performance of the turbofan engine.
