  • Thermal analysis of aeroengine bearing compartment was conducted using the finite element analysis and calculation program based on 2D axisymmetrical steady-state heat transfer model.The program was developed using axisymmetrical triangle annular cell FORTRAN.The engineering software ALGOR and ANSYS were used for pre-processing and post-processing respectively,while AUTOCAD was used for the direct input of graphic data and semi-automatic grid-drawing and decoding.Empirical formulae were adopted to calculate friction heat and heat transfer coefficient.The application of this model to an engine shows satisfactory results.
