  • There are two drawbacks of the Demodulated Resonance Technique (DRT), which are: impact test is needed to determine the excitation frequency of a bearing system;the central frequency of the band-pass filter is unchangeable.Adaptive Demodulated Resonance Technique (ADRT) was used to overcome the drawbacks.ADRT can auto-identify the high-frequency resonance frequency by analyzing the vibration signal measured on the bearing housing, and can adaptively change the central frequency of the band-pass filter based on the high-frequency resonance frequency of the bearing system.Experimental results of the 6307 bearings show that the ADRT is more convenient and effective in extracting the symptoms of the rolling bearing faults than DRT.
