Propagation of Circumferential Pressure Distortion in Axial Flow Compressors

  • A new model was established for the prediction of the decay of circumferential pressure distortion in multistage axial flow compressors.An efficient calculation procedure was developed which could be used to predict the propagation of the total pressure,temperature and velocity distortion through axial flow compressors.The validity of this model was demonstrated by comparing the numerical results with experimental data.Based on the model given,suggestions can be made for the design of distortion-tolerant axial flow compressors.
