The Low Reynolds Number Effects on the Performance of Some Controlled Diffusion Airfoils

  • In order to analyze the effect of low-Reynolds number on the performance of some controlled diffusion airfoils,calculations were performed under different Re No.of 1×106,7.7×104,1.6×104,7.2×103,3.4×103with different incidences respectively.The results of numerical simulation show that the total pressure loss coefficient increases with the decrease of Reynolds number.Under the condition of low Reynolds number,the incidence range of low loss becomes narrow.
