Topology optimization of continuum structure under multiple constraints using genetic algorithm with elitist strategy

  • Genetic Algorithm(GA) was served as an optimization tool for the topology optimization of continuum structure under multiple constraints.The elitist strategy was introduced into GA to improve the convergence and optimization results.During the process of optimization,GA was used to optimize the structure,while ANSYS-based finite element technique was used to model and analyze the structure.An example shows the rationality and effectiveness of the method.The method can apply to the topology optimization of complex engineering structure,and it can provide multiple initial design schemes.
