Experimental investigation of the rotating multiple jets impingement heat transfer chracteristic in semi-limited space

  • The effects of jet Reynolds number(Rej),rotation Reynolds number(Reω),the jet-holes array and the distance of jet-to-plate on multiple jets impingement cooling were studied by experiments.The results show that:(1) The average Nu number of heat transfer of multiple jets impingement cooling increases significantly with the increasing of jet Reynolds number but have less increment with that of rotation Reynolds number.(2) The jet-holes array has certain effect on the average heat transfer of multiple jets impingement,cross jet-hole array is somewhat better than that of the ordinal array.(3) When the distance of jet-to-plate is four times the jet-hole diameter,the average heat transfer effect of impingement cooling is the best.
