Experimental investigation on frictional loss in shrouded rotating disk with high-positioned air inflow

  • The experimental results of the friction effect on shrouded rotating disk with high positioned air flow are presented.The result shows that the dimensionless moment coefficient(NMC) of the rotor decreases with the increase of rotational Reynolds number,but the extent decreases with the increase of rotational Reynolds number.The NMC of the rotor increases with the increase of dimensionless cooling flow rate and differs with different structure of the cooling system.When the rotational Reynolds number reaches a certain value or the dimensionless cooling flow rate is zero,the NMC of the rotor is less than that of the free disk.
