Study of design method for the zero-stage compressor in an expendable gas turbine engine

  • Analyzing the evolvement from TRI60-2 engine to TRI60-20 engine developed by France MicroTurbo Inc,the technical characteristic and design method of adding zero-stage compressor were researched.Taking obtaining the compressor’s structure and characteristics as the primary concern,the process of adding zero-stage compressor was discussed,and using CFD software validated by test data the flow field was numerically simulated in full three dimensions and analyzed through computation.The result indicates that the method of adding zero-stage compressor discussed in this paper is basically successful.
