Appl ication of preconditioning method in 3D numericalsimulation of turbomachinery

A preconditioning technique for solving 3-D compressible Navier-Stokes equations is developed to simulate both transonic and incompressible flows in turbomachinery.Computations over NASA Rotor 67 and a low-speed large-scale compressor stage in Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics were performed and the results are in accordance with experimental data,it shows that the method presented is practical for engineering usage.
