Analysis method of droplets parameters based on rotating multicylinder in an icing wind tunnel

  • An analysis method based on the droplets parameters calculated by the rotating multicylinder in an icing wind tunnel is presented.The impingement characteristic of the droplets on the two-dimension cylinder was calculated and the rime ice accumulation on the two-dimension rotating cylinder was numerically simulated. According to the influence to the icing accumulation of the rotating multicylinder and the mathematical approach methods,the software that uses the results derived from the rotating multicylinder measurements to analyze and calculate the droplets parameters in the icing wind tunnel was programmed.Eventually,the analytical result was validated by the overseas experimental data.The results indicate that the method in this paper is correct and the fast measurement of the droplets parameters in an icing wind tunnel can be achieved.
