Study of rotor speed sensors fault accommodation and test run of turbo-shaft engine

  • Fault-tolerant control scheme for rotor speed sensor of a turbo-shaft engine and full authority digital engine control(FADEC) was studied.And,the fault-tolerant rule of a turbo-shaft engine was determined.A "fault simulator" was used to carry out fault-tolerant test under a test rig.The results show that,fault accommodation and verification method are easy to implement,and fault-tolerant control can maintain efficiently the power output of engines.The test run provides useful experience for matching of multiple engine installation,and also lays a basis for other types of aero-engines.
