Numerical simulation on cascade characteristics with slot from pressure surface to suction surface

The CFD method was used for the analysis of the cascade characteristics with and without slots.The computed results indicate that the cascade with slot can control and delay the separation of the boundary layer on the suction surface.This can facilitate the gas to turn greater angle,and decrease the total pressure loss together with the enlargement of the stable operating range.Compared with the cascade without slot,the surface load of cascade with slot increases near the leading edge and trailing edge and decreases at the slot inlet.
