  • A study on aircraft engine performance-cost tradeoffs and decision-making method was made in application of CAIV(Cost as an independent variable) method.An engine parametric-cost-estimating model was brought forward, and then an analysis was made on the relationship between performances and parameters, and an engine performance model was built.Thereafter, the research was focused on how to define the constraint of parameter alternatives.Finally, by integrating all above studies, an aircraft engine performance-cost tradeoff model framework was built to assist decision making of parameters targets and total ownership cost goal.
