Numerical investigation on internal flow of a spherical convergent flap nozzle with complex geometry

  • To analyze three-dimensional internal flow characteristic of spherical convergent flap nozzles with hexagonal and bowtie geometries, the geometric models were established and N-S equation and S-A model were employed in the numerical simulation.The simulation was developed at different NPR(nozzle pressure ratio).The calculated results are compared favorably well with experimental data.Furthermore, the internal flow characteristic and performance of two nozzles are compared and analyzed.
