Study of SIMPLE algorithm for compressible flows on non-staggered grids

  • Based on Rhie-Chou momentum interpolation, a SIMPLE algorithm for compressible flows of non-staggered grids was deduced.With this method, the inviscid flow in a channel with a bump and shock/boundary-layer interactions were computed.If HLAP scheme is adopted for convection term, the hybrid scheme is applied to density interpolation.This method can simulate efficiently both compression waves and expansion waves in supersonic flows.With the help of GAO-YONG turbulence models, it' s possible to simulate satisfactorily the shock/turbulent boundary-layer interaction in a channel.
