Research on principle of self-fit control for fuel supply in pulse detonation engine

  • The principle of fuel supply self-fit control in pulse detonation engine was studied by measuring the instantaneous oil pressure curve with the dynamic pressure sensors located on different sites of fuel line during the operation of PDE.The results show that,startup and stop of fuel supply,under fuel supply self-fit control,depends upon gas counter-pressure in PDEand fueling pressure.Fuel supply begins with gas counter-pressure less than fuel supply pressure,and stops in reverse conditions.Under the same equivalent proportion within PDE,the fuel supply time is related only to the fueling pressure,independent of the length of fuel line and working frequency of PDE.The longer the fuel line,the larger the pressure loss is,thus leading to a higher pressure at the exit of bump.
