Numerical simulation of flat plate plasma flow control

  • Through Laplace equation and transformed Helmholtz equation in the electric field,this paper simulated successfully the plasma flow control in the flat plate.Abody force vector was introduced to the Navier Strokes equations to simulate the effect of plasma actuation on the flow.Debye length,maximum charge density and scale parameter,etc,could be determined by comparing the calculated result with experimental data.This helps to establish a numerical simulation method for flat plate plasma flow control,thus providing a crucial technical support for applying plasma flow control into external and internal sharp shear flow.
