Theoretical model of large-scale eddy motion in plane wall jet flow

  • Based on the flow stability theory,a two-dimensional instability wave model was proposed to explain the large-scale eddy generated in wall-jet flow.The flow structure patterns and the turbulent quantities obtained by the theoretical model fit well with the experimental results,showing that this theoretical model can describe the major characteristics of large-scale eddy structures in turbulent wall jet flow.
