Influence of different incidences on loss in turbine cascade

  • A pressure-correction 3-Dcomputational fluid dynamics(CFD) code was used to simulate numerically the flow fluid of turbine cascade with different incidences.And three turbine loss models of off-design operating condition were analyzed and compared on the basis of the CFDnumerical simulation.The results show that the total pressure loss increases with the increase of incidence,provided that the incidence is positive;the total pressure loss decreases a little and then increases with the increase of incidence,provided that the incidence is negative.Though three turbine loss models of off-design operating condition can show the changing tendency of the total pressure loss with the change of incidence,the prediction results differ a lot.
