Study on turbine performance at low Reynolds number

  • The Quasi-three dimensional calculation program of S2 stream surface incorporated with some different loss model is developed on the base of solving Euler equation.And the performance of 3 different sets of turbine components is calculated at different Reynolds numbers.The prediction results show that the predicted values of variations of both turbine efficiency and flow capacity with Reynolds number decreasing show smaller than that of Russia correlation,but the overall trend agrees,and the prediction results using different loss model are greatly different.
