Surface heat flux calculation of variable entropy flow for hypersonic blunt bodies

  • Aengineering method,which accounts for variable entropy effects by modifying momentum thickness is described in this paper.Take a blunted 15 degrees half-angle cone for example,the results of calculating surface heat flux were compared with those of experience.The results show that the engineering method consumes less time and is workable.And also,the valuable reference data are supplied for the aero-thermal calculation in initial design and the reasonable choice in thermal protection system of hypersonic vehicle.
