Experimental study on cooling characteristics of film cooling with trapezoid tabs

  • In order to study the effect of tabs on film cooling,three test pieces with different geometrical dimensions were designed,and the infrared camera was used to measure the temperature distribution on the wall.The cooling characteristics was experimentally studied.The results show that the efficiency of film cooling and the convective heat transfer coefficient of film cooling with tabs have improved markedly in the presence of tabs.The cooling efficiency has an optimal blowing ratio value along the streamwise direction;while the blockage ratio is 0.214,the convective heat transfer coefficient reaches its maximum value in the range of the experiment.
